Get To Know Me

My Story

I was attending the University of Southern California but I needed to return home to assist my mother in taking care of my father who was stricken with cancer. I then earned my Bachelor of Science from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, IL. I worked as a Mortgage Loan Consultant for over 18 years.

When my husband was deployed with the U.S. Navy, my mother moved in to help me take care of our son. The roles quickly reversed and I began taking care of mother.

Over the years she was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and Lung Cancer, Aorta Valve Replacement along with heart bypass surgery. The journey was full of Dr. apts, Chemo, hospice, ER visits, etc. So many of my friends began to find themselves in similar situations and seeking my input and advice. I wrote and published “A Guide to Assist You and Your Parents in the Aging Process”.

After my Mother passed away at the age of 98, I wanted to honor her and to be of service to other caregivers and seniors. I have earned my Life Coach Certification and I am currently coaching individuals to help reclaim their sense of self, by achieving balance and finding fulfillment in both their caregiving roles and personal lives.
